About this course
Spoken English Basics is the starting point for anyone who understands a little English but freezes when it is time to speak.
The course is built for Hindi-speaking learners and goes step by step, so you never feel lost. Every lesson is practical: you learn a rule, hear it used, and practise saying it yourself.
- What the four modules cover
Module 1: Foundations. English sounds and phonics, everyday greetings, introducing yourself, asking simple questions, and the one formula behind every basic English sentence.
Module 2: Pronunciation and phonetics. How English sounds are made, word stress, intonation, voice modulation and connected speech, the mistakes Indian speakers make most often, and tongue twisters to train your mouth.
Module 3: Grammar for speaking. Nouns, verbs, pronouns, adjectives, adverbs and prepositions, each explained in detail with examples you can use the same day.
Module 4: Vocabulary. Daily-use words, how new words are formed, collocations and common phrases, an introduction to phrasal verbs, and synonyms and antonyms, with practice activities.
Every module comes with downloadable notes and word lists, so you can revise anywhere.
By the end you will be able to introduce yourself, hold a simple conversation, build correct sentences on your own and pronounce words clearly.
